MATERIALS NEEDED

FABRIC

For the width of the fabric allow twice the width of the blind when finished.  For each drop allow twice the proposed drop for each length, plus 12" for a bottom frill per width.  Remember to allow for pattern repeats, if any.

If it should be necessary to line the blind, allow the same as for the fabric.

The rule of thumb, whereby twice the DROP is to be allowed is not crucial.  On very fine fabrics such as voile, more than double could be allowed.  With thicker fabrics, cotton prints etc. Allow twice the WIDTH but only add an extra ¾ to the drop.

Other Requirements

2 ½" pencil pleat tape with 20mm 'Velcro' or other touch and close fastener attached.

Clear 11mm diameter rings.  Quick Release bottom rings.

Blind cord of 1.2mm width.  1.4mm cord coloured to match coloured voiles) for ruching.

Cord connector on 2.2mm cord with Acorn.  Porcelain cord guides or screw eyes.

Wall cleat with screws.  Wooden batten 1"x1" for 'Velcro' or similar heading.

Cloth coloured lead weights.
